Mapplethorpe 'Polaroids'

For the first time Robert Mapplethorpe's famous black-and-white Polaroid photographs of the 1970s have been brought together into one book. Controversial and popular Mapplethorpe's book reveals the themes that would inspire him throughout his career, this book brings together almost three hundred images, many never published, from the Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation's archive and private collections.

The book is a timely release with an exhibit of the Polaroids at NYC's Whitney opening 3 May 2008 and running through 7 September 2008.

Thanks to Cool Hunting for the news. The Book is available NOW at Amazon.
